Nikki Tarling from Fremantle, Western Australia started dancing at the age of four in 2000 at Classical Dance Studio with Nina Levy and Catherine Osborne. Her extensive training has included the gifted and talented dance program at John Curtin College of the Arts, and joined STEPS Youth Dance Company in 2011-2013 under the directorship of Alice Lee Holland. Through her time with STEPS she was involved in numerous productions as well as an international tour at the Dance and the Child conference in Taiwan in 2012. She was accepted into the Bachelor of Arts program studying dance in 2013 and in her second year was offered the opportunity to undertake a 6 month exchange at Codarts in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. While in the Netherlands she had the opportunity to perform a contemporary dance work choreographed by Iker Arrue at De Doelen theatre. In 2016 she graduated WAAPA.
