Larissa began her training in Year 7 at the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School (VCASS) and continued through to Year 12. She then went on to complete a Bachelor of Dance at the VCA. During this time she had the opportunity to work with contemporary choreographers Anna Smith, Elisabeth Hill, Jonathan Taylor, Sandra Parker, Natalie Weir and Garry Stewart. She also choreographed and presented two works Running Time and Eye of The Storm. Larissa also choreographed and performed in Danielle Come Swim With Me, a collaboration between musicians, dancers and design artists within the VCA. Tasdance was Larisa's first appointment as a professional dancer and she danced with the company in their 1998 season of Vital Expression.
