Amelia graduated from the Centre for Performing Arts, Adelaide with a Bachelor of Dance Performance in 2000. She co-founded dropArt: AERIAL DANCERS whose performance credits include a new work commissioned by Legs on the Wall for the B Sharp season at Belvoir Street Theatre. Her physical theatre highlights include a year touring Australia as Dance Captain and acrobat/aerialist for the musical production of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, and numerous seasons on European festival tours with Stalker Theatre Company and Strange Fruit.
In 2006 she was an Australian cultural representative in Japan as a member of ARC, the resident performance company of the Australian Pavilion at World Expo, under the artistic direction of Kate Denborough. Over three years she played a key role in the development and national tour of Tanja Liedtke's Australian Dance Award winning Twelfth Floor. Further international experience in 2006/7 included joining Tanz Atelier Wien in Vienna, and choreographic research under the guidance of celebrated teachers such as Katie Duck, David Zambrano and Julyen Hamilton. Amelia joined Tasdance in 2008 for the Parenthesis season.
