John McLaughlin

John began to study the Art of Photography at Ohio University until he discovered it was more fun to be in the pictures rather than taking them. This led to the inevitable Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Dance with a minor in ice wrestling. Upon his arrival in New York City he simultaneously joined Douglas Dunn and Dancers and the Green Street Restaurant, cross-pollinating between the two audiences the riches and mysteries from both kitchens. Following shortly was the 1984 Bessie Award for Outstanding Performances in Modem Dance, an award he still keeps in his home to this day. He has spent time teaching at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts. John choreographed Share Sight Scenery for Tasdance in 1986.
