Leanne Mason

Leanne studied at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, majoring in both classical and contemporary dance, before graduating in 1998 with a Diploma in Performing Arts. She worked with many outstanding artists during her course: Neil Adams, Nanette Hassall, Lucette Aldous and Leigh Warren as well as performing in a number of past and present notable student works.

She then choreographed for the John Curtin Performance Company and performed a short season with Vigaro Dance Theatre. Leanne joined Tasdance in May 1999 and has performed in Passionfruit and Obsession, choreographed and performed in Storylines and Project 000 and has taught contemporary dance at the Tasdance School of Performing Arts. Leanne performed in the HYPER_ mobile season in November 2000 and Treasured Island was her last season with Tasdance as she was keen to pursue her career back in Western Australia.
