Biography

Kyle Kremerskothen

Kyle began dancing with Stompin' Youth Dance Company in 1997 under the directorship of Jerril Rechter. He was involved in two large scale, sight specific works Distance and Grind #2, with which he toured nationally and internationally. In 1998 Kyle relocated to Melbourne to undergo his Bachelor of Contemporary Arts at Deakin University. During his time at Deakin he was exposed to the methods of Dr Kim Vincs (Rhizome, My Zone), Shaun McLeod, Dianne Reid and Natalie Cursio. Kyle then went on to complete graduate with studies in Arts and Events Management at the Victorian College of the Arts.

In 2001 Kyle began working with Phillip Adams' Balletlab in Upholster and worked with Balletlab in 2006 in Brindabella. Kyle has worked with Lucy Guerin Inc in Melt, Plasticine Park, Aether and Love Me, he continued working with Lucy Guerin Inc in 2007. Kyle has also worked with independent choreographer Shelley Lasica in Play in a Room and toured Strange Fruit. In 2005 Kyle made a short work for the Pieces for Small Spaces season curated by Lucy Guerin Inc. Kyle joined Tasdance in 2006 for their Earth Beneath our Feet season.
