Mark Gordon


Mark studied at the State College of Victoria - Rusden, and graduated with a Bachelor of Education with majors in Drama, Dance and Media in 1979. Prior to joining the Tasmanian Dance Company (Tasdance) in January 1982, Mark freelanced as a teacher, tutor, director, choreographer and dancer for many Victorian schools, colleges and theatre groups.

Mark later became the artistic director of the Australian Choreographic Centre in Canberra from its inception in 1996 until its closure in 2007. In this role he developed concept, structure, programs and funding base of the Centre and brokered a range of partnerships with arts, educational and government institutions.
