Canon for Four Dancers
Canon for Four Dancers may be regarded as a vintage piece as it was created in 1970 for the Choreographer's own Company, the Contemporary Dance Theatre of Melbourne. While the music at that time was not so well known, it has since been widely recorded. The dance derives much of its movement material from what is now regarded as historic modern dance. The overall structure is entirely formal and remains true to the Baroque style of the music.
